Husband of Edna Darsey Bishop. Once owned Asa May Plantation home at Capps. Called “Burtie” Bishop. Had the 1st telephone in the south end of Jefferson County. Many neighbors used it for emergency calls to the Doctor. School Teacher and also State Representative.
