Huey Pierce Brantley BRISTOL – Huey Pierce Brantley, 67, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, in Blountstown. The service will be at 2 p.m. EDT today at Bristol Church of God, with the Rev. Terry Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at 4:30 p.m. EDT at Waukeenah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home in Bristol (850-643-5410) is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Suite 102, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Mr. Brantley was born in Waukeenah and had lived in Liberty County since 1972. Huey had worked for the city of Tallahassee and had done fencing as a side job for 19 years before retiring from the city and operating Brantley Fencing full time. Survivors include his wife, Betty Brantley of Bristol; two sons, Tim Brantley (and wife Belinda) of Bristol and Huey Brantley Jr. (and wife Clarissa) of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Karen Mayo of Bristol; a brother, Terry Brantley (and wife Suzanne) of Monticello; a sister, Carolyn Drawdy (and husband Tom) of Tallahassee; three grandchildren, Timmy Mayo and Casey and Colby Brantley; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Brantley; his mother, Thelma Fain; a brother, Franklin Brantley; and a sister, Iris Taff.
